Security Awareness Training

What is Security Awareness Training?

Our training package is designed and delivered by cyber experts giving you access to the most up-to-date information in an ever-changing cyber landscape.

Security Awareness Training is used to prevent and mitigate the risk of cyber attackers tricking or scamming your staff.

The training was very accessible and easy to digest for a team that does not have a technical background.

It's great to have increased understanding - and power - to safeguard our charity's work, data and finance.

 - Odd Arts CEO, Rebecca Friel

Security Awareness Training includes topics:

  • Password security & why multi-factor authentication is important

  • Device, software, encryption and application updates

  • Social media and social engineering

  • Types of cyber-attacks; Phishing & Spear Phishing, Ransomware and their impact on businesses

  • The effects of a cyber-attack; downtime, cost, and reputational damage

How does Security Awareness Training work?

  • Training can be done as an online class, in-person for individuals or with larger groups.

  • Our training is instructor-led, using various methods to ensure trainees leave feeling confident and more cyber-resilient.

  • Best practice recommends giving your staff regular training to top up their knowledge of an ever-changing cybersecurity landscape.

  • Upon completion, all trainees will receive a Security Awareness Training certificate.

What are the benefits of your business having Security Awareness Training?

  • Security Awareness Training provides simple and practical knowledge for people to understand their environment and provides the confidence to challenge something that doesn't look right.

  • Creating a culture of cyber resilience in your business is the best defence against cyber attacks.

  • Cyber attacks continue to evolve and use more sophisticated attack techniques designed to fool employees. Training your staff will reduce the risk that your business will face data loss, financial fraud, operating time lost or negative PR.

  • Training is tailored to each audience to provide the right skills and context for your business. Our trainers are highly knowledgeable, personable and friendly - we pride ourselves on providing the right environment for your staff to feel comfortable and ask questions.

  • Our training can be tailored for staff with little or no cybersecurity or technical knowledge and be delivered in small, succinct modules using real-world examples.

The team at the Cyber Resilience Centre were able to assess our security needs as part of their membership... this included virtual instructor lead security awareness training which engaged all our team members.

I was impressed with the consultants and found them engaging and fun. They had vast amounts of knowledge.

Why is Security Awareness Training Important for Legal Professionals?

Cyber Security Awareness Training is crucial to protect sensitive data, prevent unauthorized access, comply with regulations, raise awareness of cyber threats, and promote secure practices to mitigate risks and maintain trust.

In particular, the legal sector would benefit from Security Awareness Training because:

  • Safeguards highly sensitive and confidential client data from data breaches.

  • Mitigates the legal and reputational consequences of security incidents.

  • Promotes secure communication practices, secure document sharing, and data encryption.

  • Raises awareness about the risks of social engineering attacks and phishing attempts.

  • Ensures compliance with regulations like the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and attorney-client privilege.
